After I finished, I immediately started looking for the next thing to knit him, but quickly gave up on that idea when I remembered how long it had been since I knit MYSELF something. I whipped out my calculator and Barbara Walker book, and worked the numbers for my "Hermione" sweater, and cast on quickly before I changed my mind. I didn't get too far, but here's the progress:
And, to refresh your memory, here's what it's supposed to look like:
Her's has set in sleeves, and I'm doing raglan, but that's the only difference I plan on having. I can't wait to get home and work on it!

It's so funny that you're working on that sweater! When I saw several of her knitwear pieces in the most recent movie, I thought, "I hope there are patterns out there for that!"
You should share your pattern when you're done! ;)
Happy Monday!
How exciting to be knitting your own pattern! Can't wait to see what it looks like when you finish :)
And your Cobblestone looks fantastic on your man! Great job!!

Cobblestones looks great. I wish my DH would wear it, but he won't pull anything over his head (it must have buttons)--go figure.
I love planning a sweater the way you're doing Hermione--taking a picture and using it for your inspiration. It is more work than just following a pattern, but the final sweater is tremendously satisfying because you have made exactly what you want.
Cobblestone looks great on Joe!! That is a great idea on the Hermione sweater - I am going to agree with everyone else that you should publish the pattern when you're done!
Joe's sweater came out great! It fits him perfectly! Nice knitting.
